Creative First
Feeling blue, again?
It may be because you’re not allowing your brain to be as creative as it wants to be – letting it make new connections and come up with new ideas without limitations on its use. The work world today prioritizes and values busywork but our brains (and our businesses) NEED to be creative.
As you look at your schedule today, take a risk and prioritize the creative work first! Your brain and your heart will thank you for it.
Not sure how to prioritize creative time? Here’s some inspiration from “The Mind of the Leader” (Hougaard, Carter; 2018):
“Rather than checking emails in the morning, spend the first hour or two on more import work, like strategic planning, important conversations, or reflection. And as a leader, work on instilling a culture where being on top of morning emails is not a badge of honor but a creative liability.”
